BigBeak Pictures' New Website ... Amongst Other Things

Hey folks, we launched our new website! The team, led by Lydia and Yu Han, created this amazing-looking website. In tech-age and social-age terminology, "I like"! :)

Refreshing isn't it? It is in line with the launches of our IPs this year as well as next year. Chummy & Champ will be making an appearance - albeit in a slightly different form - stay tuned to see how refreshing and cute Chummy, Champ and their friend are in Chummy & Champ Ecobites!

Another project that we have been working on is Shadow of Symphony (or Soul Surge) - a co-production with Thailand's G Motif - a dynamic creative studio led by young and energetic team. What out for it in Q1 2012!

What else? Hmmm...we are brewing more than just tonnes of coffee in our offices. There are a few more surprises that we will announce this year. Watch this space!

Giving Shadow Puppet a New Lease of Life

When we first thought of the idea to use shadow puppet in this project, we didn't know that it will be well-received by international buyers and audience. We did a small survey to find out about what they like about shadow puppets, but we were not sure of the reception of our interpretation of it.

We wanted something fresh even though it is a very old entertainment art form. So we decided to give it a modern twist. The result is extremely outstanding. 100 per cent international buyers and agents love it!

Will it be a hit? Well, that we have to wait and see once it's on air across the globe. For now, we're just simply excited that children (our focus group) and our buyers like it.

It's a sweet cherry on top for now... and we'll just keep our fingers crossed for it to do well once it's launched globally. :)

Chummy & Champ bolsters its development team

Welcome to Yu Han, Lydia, Serah and Nabil. The new additions to BigBeak Pictures. They are concept artists and programmers. Their first project is the development of Chummy & Champ Eco Games. Simple kiddy games that hopefully will get children learning about the dangers of plastics and irresponsible dumping of rubbish into the sea as well as as recycling. There will be more people joining us soon. So, stay tuned. :)

T-6 days to pilot production

I am utterly excited. Anxious at the same time. What I can do now is just pray and hope for the best.

We've done everything we could within our means. The celestial being knows our intention too well - trying to change the world for the better, beginning with the young ones. Hopefully he's on our side. :)

Another Step Forward with Chummy & Champ

Today is an exciting day for the Chummy & Champ project. We took another step forward. The puppeteers have been chosen - Azura (formerly Disney Channel Asia's host), radio deejay Dilly, and voice-over extraordinaire Gavin are amongst those who will be lending their voice and will be trained as puppeteers under the guidance of Bryan Zimmerman.

Now, the puppets are alive! :)
